Medical engineering
in hospital design
In a hospital planning team the presence of the medical engineering specialist, able to understand the clinical needs, is fundamental. Such needs are then expressed in terms of technical requirements, in order to include them in the infrastructure component.
The role of biomedical technologies in hospital projects is becoming more and more relevant, both for their implications as spaces and installations needs and also for their economic impact. It is therefore necessary to control the medical equipment component by managing their clinical, technical and organizational implications since the initial phases of the project development, up to the construction works execution and the subsequent operational start up.
4CE is the team specialized in planning and medical engineering for healthcare facilities, able to operate internationally even in complex environments, among different normative frameworks and tendering procedures, including public-private partnership projects.
4CE team contribution is implemented through the direct involvement of the medical planning team along all the project development phases, from the feasibility study to the detailed design, from the construction works supervision to the tests and commissioning, until the operations and maintenance activities start up and training.
In addition, 4CE can also contribute to the development of parallel aspects linked to medical equipment, such as organizational planning and functional design.
